An exceptional full period Chippendale Rococo mirror of large proportions, to the crest sits a magnificent Ho Ho bird, one of the beat I''ve seen.
Superbly carved throughout with S and C Scrolls, with sections of acanthus leaf, fruit and flowers around the old but not original oval mirror plate.
The back has a lovely dry surface just as we like to see, really showing the age of the piece which is in remarkably good and solid condition.
A fine example of an English country house piece, probably made in a leading London workshop in the Chippendale period. Circa 1760.
