An outstanding 18th Century Mahogany Serpentine Chest Of Drawers in the Manner of Thomas Chippendale of superb untouched colour and patination. Retaining the original gilt brass handles exuding a soft glow having not been cleaned with harsh abrasive over the years. The escutcheons and locks are also original as are the nicely shaped feet. The chest has beautiful fine blind fretwork to the corners with cross banding and fine Box wood stringing to the top, with ogee moulding to the edge. Fitted with clean original oak drawer linings and pine backboards. Having a working Georgian key to the top drawer.
