A fabulous little Queen Anne Walnut Kneehole Desk of the most outstanding colour and patina Circa 1705. This rare early example has a beautiful triple arched frieze above the central door and matched veneers with wide early feather banding and a double bead to the carcass. The handles are nice period examples that seem to have been replaced, probably in the early 18th Century shortly after the piece was made. They certainly have the look of originals, it's hard to imagine when looking at the front of the desk that they are not. The original Oak linings are in perfect, clean condition. The desk also retains original back boards and now sits on some early casters that are later additions.
